Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
In 2004, The Dells were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on March 15th, along with Jackson Browne, George Harrison, Prince, Bob Seger, Traffic and ZZ Top. Filmmaker Robert Townsend had the honor of inducting his fellow Chicagoans into the Hall.

Events for the Nineteenth Annual Induction Ceremony were held at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York.   Click here to view photos of the event.

Artists become eligible for induction 25 years after the release of their first record. Criteria considered include the influence and significance of the artist's contribution to the development and perpetuation of rock and roll.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation was formed in 1983 and the first induction ceremony was held in 1986. All inductees are represented in the "Hall of Fame", a permanent exhibit at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame & Museum, in Cleveland Ohio.
